Your documents are not our data
NoUploadMD is designed so Local Mode can convert a supported PDF without sending the file or its contents to us.
Last updated 18 July 2026
Local processing
When you choose a PDF, the browser reads it from a local File object. PDF parsing, layout analysis, Markdown generation, preview, editing, and download happen on your device. NoUploadMD does not provide a file upload or server-side conversion endpoint.
What we do not collect
- Your PDF file or extracted text
- Your generated or edited Markdown
- Your filename, file hash, or document path
- A server-side conversion history
- Account, payment, or profile data
Browser memory and storage
The current PDF and Markdown result live in browser memory while the page is open. They are cleared when you choose a new file, refresh, or close the page. Local Mode does not save PDFs in IndexedDB or sync Markdown to cloud storage.
Analytics
NoUploadMD does not enable product analytics by default. If privacy-preserving page analytics are introduced later, this policy will identify the service and the site will never include filenames, file contents, hashes, document paths, Markdown, or user-entered text in analytics events.
External links
Policy pages may link to external websites. Following such a link is a normal browser navigation and is governed by that website's privacy practices. No PDF content is attached to those links.
Changes
Material changes to the local processing model will be reflected here before they are presented as part of the product. A future cloud mode, if introduced, must be clearly separated from Local Mode.
